CodeCampKidz will guide you step by step as you work through your projects. No experience or previous knowledge is required! When you finish your journey you will have coded a Take Action Project of your choosing and earned your journey award badge. All under the guidance of a live instructor OR on your own! \nThe Web Development Edition of TLAP is designed for girls who are interested in a Full Code Immersion experience. You’ll not only Think Like A Programmer but code like one as well while overcoming obstacles\, building problem solving skills\, and developing confidence as an independent coder. Sign up at any time and experience the latest in online learning. \nAll you need to participate is a modern browser\, high speed Wi-Fi\, and a computer with audio capability (CodeCampKidz is no longer compatible with Chromebooks). You will have as long as you need to complete your journey. DESCRIPTION:The Martin H. Harris Chapter of the Air Force Association will present its annual “Scholarship Opportunities Program” on Sunday\, 25 March 2018 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.   The event will be hosted by the Air Force ROTC Detachment on the main campus of the University of Central Florida in room 106 of the “Classroom II” building. \nThe Scholarship Opportunities Program will cover opportunities for attending the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) or participating in the Air Force ROTC Scholarship Program.  Cadets from both the Air Force Academy and Air Force ROTC will be on hand to provide insight into both programs and answer any questions.  Also back by popular demand this year is a presentation on gaining entrance to the AF Academy through the associated Preparatory Schools or Falcon Scholarships.    Students who attend these schools have a very high chance of gaining admission the AF Academy after completing one year at the preparatory schools.  This is a promising alternative for applicants who may not be as competitive with their current peers but still have high motivation and determination to attend the AF Academy. \nThe scholarship opportunities program is most important to current high school sophomores and juniors\, however\, students of ANY GRADE are welcome.  Parents are welcome and highly encouraged to attend! \nFor more information\, contact Todd Freece at Todd.Freece@gmail.com

DESCRIPTION:Come Outdoors and Explore Series –  “New Workshop – Basic Camp Cooking” \nCome and learn the basics of Leave No Trace as you learn to set up a camp kitchen and learn how to cook a quick camp meal. \nEach girl that participates will earn a fun patch for attending their first workshop and then for every workshop they participate in they will receive a charm to fasten to the patch.  Girls will also be able to complete requirements towards specific badge/journey work. There will be a worksheet given out after each workshop so you are able to track what you have completed. \nWednesday\, February 28th – Basic Cooking \n\n\nBrownie  & Junior  4:30 – 5:45 pm – Register Here\n\n\nCadette\, Senior and Ambassador – 6:45 – 8:00 pm – Register Here\n\n\nCheck in at least 15 minutes prior to workshop start time as they will be starting on time.  There is a meeting room that you can wait in if you need to arrive earlier to complete any of your school work before the workshop begins. Please let us know if you plan to do that. \nAll girls need to be supervised by the appropriate Girl/Adult ratio. Everyone needs to be registered.
