Outdoor Cooking at REI

Come Outdoors and Explore Series –  “New Workshop – Basic Camp Cooking”

Come and learn the basics of Leave No Trace as you learn to set up a camp kitchen and learn how to cook a quick camp meal.

Each girl that participates will earn a fun patch for attending their first workshop and then for every workshop they participate in they will receive a charm to fasten to the patch.  Girls will also be able to complete requirements towards specific badge/journey work. There will be a worksheet given out after each workshop so you are able to track what you have completed.

Wednesday, February 28th – Basic Cooking

• Brownie  & Junior  4:30 – 5:45 pm – Register Here

• Cadette, Senior and Ambassador – 6:45 – 8:00 pm – Register Here

Check in at least 15 minutes prior to workshop start time as they will be starting on time.  There is a meeting room that you can wait in if you need to arrive earlier to complete any of your school work before the workshop begins. Please let us know if you plan to do that.

All girls need to be supervised by the appropriate Girl/Adult ratio. Everyone needs to be registered. Space is limited, Adults not registered for the class may walk around the store as long as there is the appropriate adults with your girls.

Please bring a water bottle with you and tagalongs are not allowed in the class

Also wear a light jacket as there may be some outdoor time!

Registration will close on designated close date or when workshop is full.

Girl Fee $ 3.00 (includes fun patch and/or charm)

Adult Fee $1.00
