The Barnes & Nobles Waterford Lakes store will be highlighting author Patty Lou Hawks and her book, “Under Their Wings: A Daring Adventure Mentoring Girls.” This former Girl Scout leader chronicled her years as a Troop leader. Surrounded by the demands of a busy family life and career, she found joy and fulfillment by leading her girls through wild adventures and real-life struggles.
1:30 p.m.
- Store tour will be offered to those who have RSVP’d. Tours are limited to 20 girls at a time. RSVP for this tour by Wednesday October 25
2:00 p.m.
- Author arrives and book signing begins. Attendees will have time to chat with author
- Girls will have the opportunity to create a bookworm, listen to stories, and watch a demo of STEM activities. Attendees can receive a fun patch for $2.
